day one

first day felt like a year ago to me now. 3/2 guides got seperated frm the class cos there was not enough space on the bus. we were with huiping at first lahh then when the teacher was like we need one more person, i think huipingg was too excited or sth she just stepped forward and so edna litang rachel and i got left behind. then took a ferry to pulau ubin. edna was so excited cos she has never taken a ferry in her life before. and she was like VERY EXCITED LAHH. she was beaming upon learning that we will be taking a ferry. and then we got the speedboat! was waving to all the slow lousy boats that we sped past. AHAHA.

ok then huiping stole my shoulder pad cos she kept complaining that her bag was too heavy. AND I NEVER SAW IT AGAIN UNTIL FOUR DAYS LATER. AHAHA and dunno who was telling her to tie a real pad there. AHA. got spilt up into groups. edna and i were screaming for joy when we found out that we were in the same group despite not being together with litang or rachel or huiping or kuannie. and our class was so lucky larhh. splitted up to form exactly two watches. yayy (((:

and after that learnt how to pitch tents. learnt a new method of tying the twine ((: edna and i decided to share tent with rebaca and jiin shiuan to form the UG TENT ((: and we were the first to finish pitching the tent!

did trust fall after tent pitching. was ermm ok i guess. after lunch had to change into wet attire. reunited with the first half of our class (hillary). went to float in the hawaii waters (according to shuxian) and we were so not amused by her hawaii waters. and edna rebaca and i got cut there. was bleeding profusely. ok that was an exaggeration but yeahh the blood kept flowing. then later louis and shuxian showed us the shakleton and hillary commitment books and it was so obvious that we were gonna jetty jump but louis kept saying u will know u will know. then later had to sign the book and do our commitment jump. was SO FUNNN! although its a bit scary stepping out of the board and also before hitting the waters cos u will like suddenly slow down.

and i told myself to shut my eyes and close my mouth but ermm i rmbered seeing the water arnd me so i guess i did open my eyes in the water after all. then went to bathe before ooking dinner. we used twigs and punk! ahahaha was trying to save solid fuel as much as possible cos we didnt have enough. and louis said the food wass good. (((:

then cleaned up. was so dirty after all the cleaning so like no use bathing. edna and i scrubbed the stone slab like shit larhh. then had to roll it back. it is like so damn heavy and we got so exasperated trying to roll it to the corner of the building cos it kept falling down while we were rolling it and we were like going to die trying to lift it up.

and louis was so damn fussy was pointing out every black spot in the pot and we had to wash it again and again for like three four firve times.

then sleep time! first night wasnt that tiring. had to climb up the 101 steps to reach the campsite. and it was like pitch dark. was climbing alone with edna and minzhi and dear edna kindly reminded us of wishing stairs and we got so freaked out so dashed up the rest of the steps while minzhi was cursing me while trying to catch up with us.

anyway because it was so pitch dark the stars were so beautiful larhh! could seee the whole sky of stars! then was waiting for jiin shuain and rebaca to come back so that we could sleep together. dozed off after some time.

but at night kept waking up cos there was like all sorts of noises. at first could hear like music coming frm somewhere like someone singing karaoke in the distance larhh. but it was so scary cos we were surrounded by a forest. then at sometime could hear dogs barking larhh. and the barking became louder and louder so we knew that the dogs were coming closer and closer to the tents. and i was sleeping at the side. then could suddenly feel the dogs poking at our tents then i was so freaked out i quickly rolled near edna away frm the side of the tent and was trying to keep still. and its like can feel that the dogs were surrounding our tent.

day two

in the morning was woken up by minzhi and sharon and co. sharon's shoe was chewed by a dog larhh! and she was so pissed and disgusted. so she came and borrowed a shoe so that she can climb down the 101 steps to get her extra shoe. then rebaca and i staretd sharing our night's experience then jiin shiuan and edna were sleeping so soundly larhh! they didnt even noe abt the dogs!

ate breakfast and packed up tents. then met louis and we went to the triple d. DOUBLE DUO DANGLE! its basically logs one on top of another and was like tied like so far away frm each other. and u are supposed to climb up with a partner. and i climbed with edna naturally (((: and although we aimed to only climb until the fourth log but we managed to climb all the way to the top! THE TOP OF THE WORLD!!! ((((: was going to give up on the fifth one already larhh. but edna helped me up muackx edna. and yeahhn louis sort of helped too cos he was so irritating i had to climb up. i realised that doing all this elements with a partner is more funn(((: cos u can stop halfway and chit chat!

ok so hurrays((((: ACCOMPLISHMENT.

then have to pack bag again. packed all the stuff into the haversacks. then was like so heavy and i was like die sure cannot hike wann. packed all our food. aand i was carrying seven cans and a helmet plus all my clothes.

and we went kayaking! the sun was scorching hot larhh so we had to wait for the high tide cos he will get stuck in mud if we attempt to walk to our kayaks and after that learnt how to capsize and rescue! edna and i were kayaking togther and we were the first pair to capsize and rescue. AND CAPSIZING IS VERY VERY FUN! took a few hours for everyone to finish capsizing and rescuing and we finally left for camp 3. kayaked there and edna and i were like pro mann! was the fourth kayak to reach there. GRINNN. hezuoyukuai.

by the time we reach there and unloaded our bagpacks and jerrycans was already like almost nine o clock and it was like so dark. shenshoubujianwuzhi. edna and i had to pitch the tent in the dark while jiinshiuan and rebaca cooked dinner. and the road was like super hard and rocky so couldnt use pegs and so had to go hunt for rocks to pitch tents. but there were very few rocks left cos the other watches had already used up most of them. then edna and i had to go shine torches and hunt for big rocks. and i was like suddenly so strong carried the big rocks by myself. ahahahah so funny. and the stars on that rocky island was beautiful as well (((:

had maggie mee with sausages but couldnt finish alot of food. and rebaca edna and i were like trying frantically trying to stuff down as much food as we can while jiin shiuan cheered us on. and we were like trying to get others to help out but they were all too full until nice alvina and nice chin yun volunteered to help out (:

then jiin shiuan and i badly need the toilet so we went to the bushes to pee. then with all the tall grasses it was like so damn uncomfortable larhh plus we were not used to it. but it was so dark anyway no one can see anything. then we went back to share our experiences and rebaca had to go next so we told her to enjoy herself. BWAHAHA.

then helped to bury the remaining mountain of maggie mee and sausages and it was so heartbreaking to see all the glourious sausages being buried. then walked arnd with huiping for a while and she saboed me the later we went to sit down with edna litang and rachel and edna and i were complaining to each other abt how we wanted to go home. and we were like freezing cos we were still in our wet clothes. the minzhi joined us and we wished on a star. STAR LIGHT STAR BRIGHT. ahahahah so lame. anyway we all wished for a better day the next day (((:

then after that louis and shuxian finally came for the debrief and thats when we learnt thatw e will be kayaking almost the whole of pulau ubin the next day where we will be going to camp 1. the residential area! THE ROYAL PALACE. and we were like all so happy cos the residential area was supposed to be this total palace where we can bathe use a proper toilet have good food for the first time.

and we didnt tie fly sheet to our tent cos there was not enough rocks. and we flopped down to sleep after pulling on our track pants. couldnt brush teeth. and we were too tired to change out of wet clothes so just slept liddat without even powder bathing. slept very fast despite the hard rocky ground. and only woke up once cos it was raining in our tent and cos it was freezing cold too.
